Going Wireless with Wired Systems

Wireless is becoming ever more popular in today's modern electronics and circuits. Consumers are demanding wireless for its sleek appeal and freedom of movement, and for some applications it's a requirement. However, for developers this means learning more about how wireless technologies work, and how wireless can be incorporated into existing products.

There are several chip sets and modules available on the market for making the transition to wireless, however, many of them are complex so incorporating wireless into a product is not always an easy step. Starman Electric's wireless modem module, DataBridge, makes wireless effortless by allowing the user to treat the wireless as a wire. This makes wireless transparent, and modules can be easily added to an existing design. This allows developers to create quick wireless links within seconds. DataBridge modules include both inputs and outputs for digital, analog, and serial UART data signals.

DataBridge modules offer a simple solution with reliability in the same package. With its proprietary modulation technique, these modules work well in industrial environments where harsh RF noise can be a common problem. Databridge modules take advantage of both DSSS and FHSS modulation techniques, which greatly improves reliability and also lowers power consumption during transmission. This is especially important in the growing wireless world where the airwaves are becoming increasingly dense, and avoiding interference is critical.
